Online applications are invited for appointment to the post of Assistant Professors on contract basis in Physical Education in the vacancies likely to arise at the Centre for Physical Education, University of Calicut. Candidates are requested to submit their bio-data through the University website: www.universityofcalicut.info on or before 23.10.2019.
Name of Post : Assistant Professor on contract in Physical Education in the University of Calicut.
Qualification : 1. Master's Degree in Physical Education from the University of Calicut or any other Universities recognised as equivalent thereto, with not less than 55% marks. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories are eligible for a relaxation of 5% marks in the Master's Degree.
2. NET or Ph.D. in the subject concerned (candidates without NET/Ph.D will also be considered in the absence of NET/Ph.D qualified hands)
Upper age limit : 65 years
Salary : a) Candidates with Ph.D - Rs.26,000/- per month (consolidated amount without D.A. and any other allowances in the scale of pay 26000-400-30000-500-35000-600-41000)
b) Candidates with NET/M.Phil - Rs.25,000/- per month (consolidated amount without DA and any other allowances in the scale of pay 25000-400-29000-500-34000-600-40000)
c) Candidates without NET/M.Phil - Rs.24,000/- per month (consolidated amount without DA and any other allowances in the scale of pay 24000-400-28000-500-33000-600-39000)
Candidates short-listed for interview will be informed by e-mail/SMS/telephone. The vacancies of Assistant Professor in Physical Education (on contract) that arise in the Centre for Physical Education, University of Calicut will be filled up from the ranklist prepared on the basis of qualification and interview as per this notification. The candidates should furnish the details of their qualification, experience etc, as prescribed by the University in the online application form.
The candidates short-listed for interview should produce the certificates in original in proof of their age, qualification, experience and community. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from other Universities/State should produce Equivalency Certificate issued by this University as per the revised regulations for the issuance of equivalency/recognition certificates (implemented in the University vide U.O.No.6387/2019/Admn dated 17.05.2019).
